Thank you for your interest in helping out JD Theatricals @ the Attic!
When you volunteer to help with concessions or as an usher, you are not only supporting our live theatre shows but you also get to watch the show for free. Volunteers who make larger commitments of several days are eligible for guest tickets, special events, and more.

Volunteer with Concessions
We ask our Concessions Volunteers to: Dress nicely & Arrive 1 hour before the show to help setup the concession area for pre-show concessions. Stay until after intermission concessions and help put concession items away.. |
Volunteer as an Usher
We ask our Ushers to: Dress nicely & Arrive 1 hour before the show to help setup the audience areas. Stay after the show for a few minutes to help with some light pickup in the audience seating areas. |
We ask our volunteers to please keep their volunteer commitments - when people sign up we count on them to be there to help run each performance. Your help is vital in offering our guests the best possible experience while freeing up our directors and staff to attend to their duties. Of course cancelations happen - please give us as much heads up as possible to replace the help needed for that performance.
Behind the scenes volunteers that help the magic happen
Volunteer backstage, tech, costumes, or design.
There is so much that happens behind the scenes in order to put on a quality performance. Sets need to be designed, built, and painted. Props need to be secured, changed, and located & organized.. Costumes need to be designed, fitted, adjusted, sized, and created. Lights need to be designed, programed, maintained, and run. Sound needs to be designed, adjusted, programed, and run. Promotions need to be planned, targeted, and scheduled. In addition we do sometimes accept volunteers as interns to help our directors, stage managers, and technicians with extended help where you learn how to take on such a responsibility in the future. |
